We had a slight headwind today, not enough to make riding difficult.

The EuroVelo 6 follows the Canal du Rhone au Rhin as it gradually locks up to the midway point of our day’s ride, then it’s downhill all the way to Mulhouse (pronounced mulluz). Yahoo! Shift up at each lock and fly down the ramp at 30kph fully loaded, and see how far I can hold speed in the flats. Unfortunately, I was having so much fun I didn’t realize this was pushing Chris to her limit as she peddled along behind me. Back to touring speed.

As we did in 2014, we are staying at the municipal campground in Mulhouse. This is a very nice campground and a popular stop for cyclists riding the EuroVelo 6. The facilities are great, and we were allowed to pick from any of the non-power sites. Of course we chose a big one. This feels like a great place for a rest day.

Nice big site.
